Community Support Worker

This is a professional level direct service position with persons served at Liberty Centre Services Crisis Prevention Program. Community Support assist people in maximizing their ability to function in the least restrictive environment possible. There is help with life skills, such as self-care, cooking, and money management. We also assist people with navigating their housing needs, benefit coordination, community resources, medications, therapy appointments and doctor appointments. Working in the position you will have the opportunity to create hope and enhance the recovery of adults living with a mental illness and/or a substance use diagnosis. Support is customized for each person to increase independence and success while living in the community.

A bachelor’s degree or higher in psychology, sociology or a related human service field are preferred but 2 years of coursework in a human services field and/or 2 years of experience/training will be considered.
A valid Nebraska driver license and a good/insurable driving record are required.
